Janet would like us to make penguin blocks for her – with being the president for the past couple of years it would be a grand gesture. Annual quilt sales started Saturday February 14th through the end of February at the Townsend quilt shop.

Show and Tell – lots of beautiful quilts and so for.

Presidents block from Theresa Jackson

In order for this pattern to work, we need a finished block of 9 1/2 inches, not 8 inches as I originally said. I will have copies at the next guild meeting. Thanks, happy quilting!

Here is a link to the Penguin Block for Janet,

She would like all penguins to be made with black and white fabrics and finish at an 8-inch square. The yellow beaks and feet can be yellows or oranges and then the blue outside can be any color. You have to click on the pattern to get the templates.

Message from Jill
